‘Confident’ Petrescu: “Di Matteo called me, I’ll win the ACL in two and a half years”

New Jeonbuk Hyundai coach Dan Petrescu has revealed that he received an offer from technical advisor Roberto Di Matteo. He also vowed to win the AFC Champions League in two and a half years.

Jeonbuk announced the news of Petrescu’s appointment on social media on Sept. 9. Petrescu will travel to South Korea next week to finalize the contract process and begin his official press conference on Thursday.

According to Romanian media outlet Gazeta Sportulor, Petrescu was attracted to Jeonbuk’s potential. “I’ve been a coach in so many different countries.
