Buchanan started the home game against the LG Twins of the 2023 Shinhan Bank Solar KBO League at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on Saturday.

In his previous outing, Buchanan threw 127 pitches for six innings (two runs) against the SSG Landers in Munhak on April 11. With Samsung utilizing a four-man starting rotation, Buchanan took the mound on four days’ rest.안전놀이터

After a clean first inning, Buchanan surrendered a pair of runs in the second. After back-to-back singles to Austin Dean and Bo-Kyung Moon, he laid down a sacrifice bunt to Kim Min-Sung. With runners on first and second, Buchanan got Park Dong-won to ground out to third, but Austin stole home.

Buchanan came to the mound to pitch in the third inning with the score tied 1-1, but felt discomfort in his neck and was eventually replaced by right-hander Lee Seung-hyun.
