Pohang overcomes the threat of defeat with an extra-time theater goal.
Pohang drew 1-1 with Seoul in the 18th round of the Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. thanks to Ha Chang-rae’s equalizer in extra time. Pohang (31 points) remained in second place. Seoul (29 points) remained in third place.
Seoul set the tone early on. In the 37th minute, Hwang Eui-jo dribbled in front of the box and fired a right-footed shot between two defenders. The shot found the top right corner for the opening goal. The goalkeeper was helpless to stop it. Hwang Ui-jo scored his fourth goal of the league.
Seoul failed to capitalize on their chances to extend their lead. Hwang Ui-jo also missed a crucial chance to add an insurance goal. Six minutes of stoppage time were called in the 45th minute with Seoul leading 1-0.
