Kim Seong-hyun improved the ranking by reducing the number of strokes on the second day of the US Professional Golf PGA Tour Mexico Open.
In the second round of the tournament held at Vidanta Vallarta, Vallarta, Mexico on the 29th (Korean time), Kim Seong-hyun tied one eagle, three birdies, and three bogeys and hit 2 under par 69.
Kim Seong-hyun, who was tied for 50th with 2 under par in the first round, recorded an interim total of 4 under par and was tied for 32nd.
Kim Seong-hyun’s only top 10 record this season was a tie for 4th at the Shriners Children’s Open in October last year.
In this tournament, he finished the second round with a tie for 9th place (8 under par) and a 4-stroke difference, and was able to aim for another ‘Top 10’.
Kim Seong-hyun, who played from the 10th hole that day, exchanged 2 birdies and 2 bogeys until the 2nd hole, and was unable to reduce the number of strokes, but increased his momentum with a birdie on the 5th hole (par 3) and an eagle on the 6th hole (par 5).

Noh Seung-yeol reduced 3 strokes and jumped 36 steps to pass the cut with a tie for 45th place (3 under par), while Ahn Byeong-hun reduced two strokes and also rounded the halfway point with a tie for 45th place.
Last year’s runner-up Tony Finau (USA) drove 7 under par with 8 birdies and a bogey in the second round, rising to the sole lead with a total of 13 under par for two days.ㅋㅋㅋ벳
Pinau has 5 wins on the PGA Tour, his latest being the Houston Open in November of last year.
Eric Van Luyen (South Africa) and Brandon Wu (USA) tied for second place (12 under par) by a stroke, followed by five players including Andrew Putnam (USA) tied for fourth place (9 under par).
Yon Ram (Spain), who is currently ranked No. 1 in the world and the winner of this tournament last year, finished the second round with a tie for 12th place (7 under par) by cutting 3 strokes that day.
The tournament is held outside of the United States, and with the $20 million Wells Fargo Championship coming up next week in the United States, there are not many top rankers.
Among the participants, only Lam and Finau (16th) are among the top 20 players in the world rankings.
Kang Seong-hoon, who was tied for 50th place with Kim Seong-hyun in the first round, lost 9 strokes that day and ended up with a total of 7 over par, and was pushed to the bottom and missed the cut.
