The Doosan Bears are on a two-game losing streak after an 11-game winning streak. The Bears have had a string of bad luck.
With Jung Soo-bin out with a finger injury and Kim Jae-hwan out with a cold, outfielder Jose Rojas left the game with back pain.
Rojas started the eighth game of the season against LG at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on April 28, batting third in right field.
Prior to that day, LG had gone 10 at-bats without a single hit. He didn’t even have four pitches.
In the top of the first inning, he swung hard at a pitch from LG starter Kelly. It was a straight hit that was centered, but deflected toward second base and into the glove of the defending second baseman. He felt a tiny twinge in his lower back during this at-bat.안전놀이터
Rojas was replaced by Hong Seong-ho in his second at-bat in the bottom of the third inning, trailing 1-5.
Doosan explained, “He felt a small pain in his lower back after the hit, so he was replaced to protect the player.” Hong continued to play in right field after his at-bat.
