The ‘Fall’ of the ‘Four Musketeers’ at shortstop…Bogart, Correa, Swanson, and Turner, totaling $1.3 trillion

There are four shortstops who have signed big contracts in free agency heading into this season.

Carlos Correa (Minnesota Twins), Trea Turner (Philadelphia Phillies), Xander Bogaerts (San Diego Padres), and Dansby Swanson (Chicago Cubs).

The total value of their contracts is close to $1 billion.

However, they all underperformed in April and May this season.

Correa, who signed with Minnesota on a whim, hit just .211 with six home runs in 49 games.

After forcing the Dodgers’ hand and going to Philadelphia, Turner hit .236 with five home runs in 54 games.

Even worse, his defense. He’s already committed seven errors. His WAR is 0.0.먹튀검증

Bogaerts started the season with a bang. But as time has gone on, his batting has deteriorated.

In 54 games, he’s batting .257 with seven home runs. That doesn’t sound like Bogaerts.

Swanson is also hitting just .265 with five home runs.

It will be interesting to see if they find their stride in June.
