The Korea Championship will be held for two more years. DP World Tour Seed Expansion

The Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) and DP World Tour signed a business agreement at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea on the 30th of last month and decided to hold a jointly hosted tournament by 2025.

The signing ceremony was attended by various officials from both organizations, including KPGA Chairman Koo Ja-cheol and DP World Tour Tournament Business Chief Ben Cowen. 

The KPGA and DP World Tour pledged to continue cooperation in various other fields, including holding jointly hosted tournaments and expanding opportunities for Korean Tour players to advance to the DP World Tour.

First of all, the Korea Championship Presented by Genesis, which just ended on the 30th of last month, will be held in Korea as a jointly organized event once a year until 2025. ㅋㅋㅋ벳

Also, starting from this season, the top player in Genesis points will be given the No. 16 seed in the DP World Tour seed category (one year), and the top two players in Genesis points, excluding the No. 1 player in Genesis points, will be given the No. 17 seed in the DP World Tour seed category (one year). Agreed to provide seed.

It was decided to give the players with the highest Genesis points the right to go directly to the final round and the second round of the DP World Tour Q School. A total of 4 players (1 in the final, 3 in the 2nd round) this season will receive this privilege, but next year it will be expanded to a total of 9 (3 in the final, 6 in the 2nd).
