The Denver Nuggets are one win away from their first National Basketball Association (NBA) championship.
The Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat 108-95 on the road in Game 4 of the best-of-seven 2022-2023 NBA Championship on Tuesday night at the Amway Center in Miami, Florida.
The Nuggets improved to 3-1 in the best-of-seven series and are one win away from the title. Since joining the NBA in 1976, Denver has never won a championship.
Miami’s chances of pulling off the miracle of becoming the first No. 8 seed in NBA history were slim.
For Denver, Nikola Jokic led the way with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Aaron Gordon also chipped in with 27 points and six rebounds.
For Miami, Jimmy Butler had 25 points and seven rebounds and Bam Adebayo had 20 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Heat from losing.
The first half was a bite-and-bite affair. Denver held a slim 55-51 lead at the break.
The Nuggets practically took over in the third quarter. Jokic and Jermaine Murray scored back-to-back baskets. It was a double-digit lead. Gordon’s 3-pointer just before the end of the quarter went in off the rim to give the Nuggets a 13-point lead.먹튀검증
In the fourth quarter, Miami pulled away. Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler attacked the basket with intensity. Back-to-back free throws closed the gap to five points at one point, but Denver’s frightening firepower with five minutes left in regulation was too much for them.
Game 5 between the two teams will take place on Nov. 13 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
